— Carissa Elaine Carter and Jason Hugh McKenzie were united in matrimony on at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6. The ceremony took place at the Mildred B.

Cooper Chapel in Bella Vista with pastor Richard Burress of Pea Ridge officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Frank and Betty Carter of Garfield, Ark.

The groom is the son of Steve and Pat McKenzie of Franklin, Penn.

Ms. Carter was given in marriage by her parents and escorted to the alter by her father. She wore a white taffeta sleeveless gown with a bolero jacket.

The gown featured a tulle and pearl beaded overlay falling to a chapel length train. The bride chose white ranunculus and white roses for her bouquet. Attached to the bouquet was a crocheted "lucky penny" holder, containing a penny from the bride's year of birth. Made by and given to the bride by her mother, it was done in pool blue and chocolate brown.

Serving as maid of honor was Hope Holmes of Gentry. She wore a tea-length pool blue gown with a matching bolero jacket.

Bridesmaids were Angela Hopkins of Bella Vista and Kaity Keller of Pea Ridge.

Both wore tea-length strapless dresses, Ms. Hopkins in chocolate brown and Ms. Keller in pool blue.

They all carried white roses.

The groom wore a black tuxedo with a white vest and tie.

Serving as best man was Michael Stephens of Bentonville. He wore a blacktuxedo with a pool blue vest and tie.

Groomsmen were Josh Stephens of Lowell and Mike Russo of Plano, Texas. Both wore black tuxedos with matching vest and ties, Mr. Stephens in chocolate brown and Mr. Russo in pool blue.

Carrying the rings for the couple was Nicholas Sawn, nephew of the bride.

The flower girl was Stevie Grace St. John, niece of the bride. She wore a floorlength white sleeveless Aline dress, that featured a chocolate brown ribbon belt at the waistline.

Seating the guests were Tyler Ramsey and Trent Ramsey of Garfield, nephews of the bride.

The wedding music was provided by Ryan Phillips of Joplin, Mo., nephew of the bride.

Presiding at the guest book was Danielle Phillips of Bentonville, niece of the bride.

A wedding reception was held at Metfield Country Club in Bella Vista. Serving punch and cake to the wedding party and guests were Sundi Burress and Danielle Phillips. The four-tiered wedding cake and grooms cake were made and decorated by Priscilla Warren and Sharon Neel, friends of the bride.

The groom's daughter and son, Ashley and Sebastian McKenzie, passed out wedding favors to all the guests, including roses for the ladies, M & M champagne glasses and boxed chocolate covered almonds. The couple left the reception amid a shower of bubbles.

The McKenzies reside in Centerton.
