— TV news will be shown by day and community events by night at the chamber office on University Street.

A flat screen TV that was recently installed in the office of Siloam Springs Chamber of Commerce will soon display community announcements and ads for area businesses.

Chamber staff now usethe TV for news and weather information, but it will be turned around to face the window of the office for pedestrians to seeas they walk by after hours.

The plan is to record a 10-minute video that will run repeatedly from 5 to 9 p.m. weekdays, said Steve Dulaney, director of operations for the chamber.

“It’s for the entire community,” Dulaney said.

“We think this is an opportunity for us.”
