— Oh my, what lovely sunshine weather we are having.

It was a nice Halloween and every child was happy with their Halloween goodies. This is a great time to go visiting and enjoy being with each other.

Colcord and Little Kansas had an exciting game; close as the score was, Colcord won by two points. I was told that some of the players commented on how great it was to play with such a well organized and respectful team of opposition.

Some of we shut-ins went shopping and it was pleasant to get out for a change. We usually rely on some gracious person who is willing to take time out from their busy schedule to give us a few hours of their time that we can enjoy doing some of the things that used to be a part of out ordinary activity. I found joy in shopping and pinching the fresh fruit.

All things are looking up for me at present; I am finding it to be consistently this way and I am praying that it will continue. My thoughts often turn to those who are dealing with their sorrows and problems and I want to encourage them to take the time to give the Lord thanks for this strength and his many blessings that he sends our way.

My friend, Jackie, is such a blessing to be with. HerWest Siloam Springs News vibrant personality and happy smile seems to come up with the sun every morning. She is such a joy to have around. (You know, one of those many blessings from the Lord.)

My neighbors, the Wollards, are doing as well as can be expected. She says that when children come around it gives them a youthful uplift.

I put in the paper a request for a Christian parrot, an undenominational one, but I do prefer one that does not swear as that is a habit that’s hard to break.

I heard that the Salvation Army is planning to relocate. I have been told that it will be in the same area, possibly only a few doors down from their present location. Keep an eye on the newspaper for the time and exact location. They have so many lovely bargains and good prices on namebrand items. I have found it to be a good place to pick up some good buys.

In closing I want to suggest that we all try to live by the little rabbit, Thumper’s philosophy, “If you can’t say something good about someone, don’t say anything at all.”
