SILOAM SPRINGS Utility increase?
When an already overburdened consumer taxpayer is on the verge of going under financially in a period of astronomical depressed economy and a huge loss of jobs, now comes a possible bone crushing electric utility rate hike of almost 20 percent according to an article Nov.1 edition of Siloam Sunday.
I have not heard of surrounding city’s having to raisetheir rates as high, but I have heard that they are in fact cutting back in nonessential departments and expensive projects at this time of a very unstable economy!
With this rate hike, the meaning of Thanksgiving and the spirit of giving this Christmas will disappear with the rest of our hopes!
In closing, is it possible that a recall petition could be in order?
