— Dorothy from Wizard of Oz, Luigi of Super Mario Brothers, Strawberry Shortcake and ghouls and goblins galore gathered at Career Academy of Hair Design Halloween morning to primp several Siloam Springs High School students.

“This is our first year getting todo this,” said Tammy Freeman. “The kids were really excited, they talked about it all week.”

On Friday, ninth through twelfth grade resource students arrived in a bus at the school on Mount Olive Street that offers evening and day classes for cosmetology.

“We’re glad to be able to do this, it’s a lot of fun,” Marcia Lovesay, manager of the cosmetology school said. “We moved to this location in 2007. We also have schools in Springdale and Rogers.”

The high school students received manicures, pedicures, hair styles and were invited to enjoy candy, cupcakes and drinks from a decorated table at the front of the academy.
