— Second Baptist Church opens

Second Baptist Church will celebrate their first Sunday on Oct. 4 focusing on Bible study at 9 a.m. and worship service at 10:30 a.m.

In the evening, their first Life Focus Program is "Indescribable" with Louis Giglio.

SBC will host a Spiritual Renewal and Growth conference, with Dr. R.E. Clark.

This conference begins with "What's in Your Teacup ?"a ladies' tea on Oct. 24, and then a celebration Sunday on Oct. 25 with morning and evening conferences.

Homecoming fair

A homecoming and missions fair will be held Oct. 4 at Gum Springs Baptist Church, 20054 Keck Rd.

Missions that are supported by the church will be represented.

There will be a dinner onthe grounds following the morning services.

Lifechain

Lifechain will be held on Oct 4 from 2 to 3 p.m. in front of 2 B's Auto on Hwy.

412. Lifechain is an annual pro-life event where participants come together in peaceful vigil to stand for the unborn.

Cooking seminar

The October Heart Life speaker at First Baptist Church will be dietitian Ingrid DeYoung.

The topic is: "Delighting in our Dinner: Once-A-Month-Cooking."

The seminar will be held Oct. 6, from 9 to 11 a.m. in the church's fellowship hall inSiloam Springs. Child care for young children and a study hall for school-aged homeeducated children are available by reservation.

Heart Life is the new name for the women's ministry of First Baptist Church. More information about this seminar and other Heart Life ministries can be found on theWeb site at www.fbcsiloam.com.

Yard sale

St. Mary's Catholic Church at 1966 E. Highway 412 in Siloam Springs will have its annual yard sale in the church hall on Oct. 17 beginning at 7 a.m.
