SILOAM SPRINGS Nancy Lowe
Nancy Lowe, 76, of Gravette, Ark., died Oct.
14, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark.
She was born March 17, 1933, to Fred and Loma Hopkins Ritchie.
She worked for Snow’s Cabinet Shop and was a member of Wolf Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bradley, and her mother, Loma Darr.
She is survived two sons, Steve Snow and wife Brenda of Gravette, and James Bradley and wife Joy of Siloam Springs, Ark.; a brother, Arthur Ritchie of San Francisco, Calif.; six grandchildren;
and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned at a later date.
Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs was incharge of cremation arrangements.
Alonzo Edgar Monson
Alonzo Edgar Monson, 91, of Farmington, Ark., died Oct. 13, 2009, at North Hills Life Care and Rehab Center in Fayetteville, Ark.
He was born Aug. 11, 1918, in Minneola, Kan., to Mary and Alonzo Monson Jr.
He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II and flew numerous missions in the European theater. He earned the rank of major and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
He married June Grubb in Van Nuys, Calif., on March 13, 1948. He was an avid reader and enjoyed playing music. He was of the Methodist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; abrother; two sisters; two grandsons; and a greatgranddaughter.
He is survived by his wife of the home; a son, Frank Moltane and wife Charlyn of Fountain Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Eileen Fiasconaro and husband James of Farmington, and Linda Marquess and husband John of Springdale, Ark.; five grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; a greatgreat-grandchild; and a sister, Naomi Thompson of Sanger, Calif.
A graveside service was held Oct. 15, 2009, at Word Cemetery near Decatur, Ark., with Chaplain J.W. Walker officiating.
Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Ark., was incharge of arrangements.
Karen Verna Widdoes
Karen Verna Widdoes, 65, of Twin Oaks, Okla., died Oct. 12, 2009, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital in Siloam Springs, Ark.
She was born May 29, 1944, in Fords, N.J., to Hans and Adele Ward Wissing.
She was a greeter and hostess.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Widdoes Sr.
She is survived by two sons, John Widdoes of California, and James Widdoes of Twin Oaks; a daughter, Joan Widdoes of Twin Oaks; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Elliot Cole, Jerry Cole, of Nevada, and David Cole of Florida.
The family will have a private burial in Havana, Ark., at a later date.
