SILOAM SPRINGS — The Siloam Springs Panthers fought hard to win a game against a strong opponent Friday night, but came out on the losing end. The Panthers are focusing on improving their weaknesses before they take on the highlyranked Greenwood Bulldogs.

Central Arkansas Christianmanaged to keep the lead on the Panthers throughout the Friday night game but Siloam didn’t give up easy. It was a tough game that had many strong plays, but it was the failure of a two-point conversion that gave the game to CAC.

Siloam quarterback Bryan Adair completed 29 passes out of 48 attempted, totaling 356 yards.

Adair threw three touchdowns,but he also threw one interception, which was returned for a Mustang touchdown.

The simple mistakes the Panthers keep trying to focus on manage to keep coming back to haunt them.

With the loss to CAC, Siloam is now 3-4. In the rankings, Siloam is ranked 7th in the West, 86th in the state. The Panthers are hoping that their upcoming gameagainst the Greenwood Bulldogs won’t end in defeat like past games have. Coach Bryan Ross is demanding success and the Panthers are hoping to deliver.

Greenwood has been a team that has dominated Class 5A football over the past three seasons.

They have four state champi-onship game appearances with three wins. The Bulldogs have commanded and received respect on the gridiron and are now 6-1 after their 24-3 victory over Vilonia. Greenwood is ranked No. 1 in the West, and 8th in the state, and head coach Rick Jones is hoping to stay on top.

Siloam will travel toGreenwood Friday night to put it all on the field.

Adair is hoping to improve on his accuracy and lead his team victory.

The Panthers are strongspirited and the players are not going to let the home field advantage benefit Greenwood.

Though the statistics lean more toward the Bulldogs, Ross and his Panthers believe they can still pull out some surprises and leave the field with a victory.
