Addie Bluebell Adams, 83, of Gentry, Ark., died Oct. 19, 2009, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark.
She was born March 27, 1926, in Binger, Okla., to John and Lavinia Howe Payton.
She lived in the community for the past 53 years and retired from Allen Canning Company after working there for 30 years.
She married Ray Adams in Hereford, Texas, on Sept. 17, 1945.
She is survived by her husband of the home; three daughters, Raye Boyle and husband George of Noel, Mo., Linda Johnson and husband Dean of Gentry, and Annette Selent and husband Kurt of Gentry; two sons, Gerald Adams and wife Patricia of Westville, Okla., and Mark Adams of Gentry; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Oct. 21, 2009, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, Ark., with Jim Whisenant officiating.
Burial will follow at Gentry Cemetery.

Leonard Ray Brown
Leonard Ray Brown, 57, of Summers, Ark., died Oct. 18, 2009, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark.
He was born May 8, 1952, in Lincoln, Ark., to Mack and Minnie Bell Brown.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He earned the rank of sergeant and was a veteran of the first Persian Gulf War.
He married Cheryl Peterson on Aug. 7, 2008, in Summers, Ark. He was a member of Summers Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed studying his Bible.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife of the home; a son, Christopher Brown; two daughters, Latisha Brown and Patricia Brown; a stepson, Tony Taylor of Summers; a stepdaughter, Torie Inge of Fayetteville; many step grandchildren; a step great-grandchild; three brothers, R.L. Brown and wife Gussie of Westville, Okla., James Brown and wife Linda of Brighten, Colo., and Cecil Brown and wife Ethel of Victoria, Texas; and three sisters, Irene Sykes and husband Bob of Rogers, Ark., Retha Augustine and husband Mike of McAlester, Okla., and Mary Pekar of Lake Jackson, Texas.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Oct. 21, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Oct. 22, 2009, at Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel in Siloam Springs, Ark., at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Bell Cemetery in Watts, Okla.

Floretta Cox
Floretta Cox, 82, died Oct. 16, 2009, at Siloam Springs, Ark.
She was born Nov. 19, 1926, in Watts, Okla., to Otis and Ada Casey Nickens.
She loved gardening and cooking and worked in several restaurants preparing food.
She was a member of Watts United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melvin Cox; two sons, Bobby Cox and Larry Cox; two daughters, Melinda Cox and Judy Cox; a grandson, Johnny Cox; and two sisters, Odessa Fowler and Jerry Erickson.
She is survived by her children, Steve and La-Juanna Cox, of Watts, Sandra and Ben Sorrells of Broken Arrow, Okla., Sue and Rick Jones of Siloam Springs and Tammy and James Harvey of Elkins, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Bonnie Chapman of Basehor, Kan., and Jackie Buchanan of Neosho, Mo.
Funeral services were held on Oct. 20, 2009, at Hart Memorial Chapel in Westville with Pastor Ben Sorrells officiating.
Burial was at Watts City Cemetery.

Lottie Louise Insco
Lottie Louise Insco, 90, of Springdale, Ark., died Oct. 18, 2009, at Northwest Medical Center of Washington County.
She was born April 3, 1919, in Highfill, Ark., to Barney and Ollie Howard Douglas.
She married Ted Insco in 1938. She worked for Springdale Farms and was a member of the Springdale Farms bowling team.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Springdale.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Joe Insco; two sisters, Lillian “Toots” Hendrix and Bonnie Curran; and a brother, Jay Douglas.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Dianna Wade of Memphis, Tenn., and Teddy Insco of Springdale.
Funeral services were held Oct. 20, 2009, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark., with Pastor Charlie Foster officiating.
Burial was at Douglas Cemetery in Highfill.

Arlan “Bud” Eugene Sweet
Arlan “Bud” Eugene Sweet, 73, of Colcord, Okla., died Oct. 16, 2009, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 18, 1936, in Westville, Okla., to Louie and Lodema Maggard Sweet.
He married Joyce Brown in Stilwell, Okla., and worked at Franklin Electric as a laborer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Helen Fishinghawk.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Calvin Sweet of Bentonville, Ark.; a daughter, Melissa Earp and husband Jarrod of Colcord; two sisters, Shirley Carlton of Westville, Okla., and Aileen Lockard of Mountainburg, Ark.; and two grandchildren.
