On Oct 31, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Rodney and Elaine Carr will be hosting a family feast and fun day at The Family Rec Center in West Siloam Springs to raise money for Kind at Heart Ministries. Soup Sampler
First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs is sponsoring a Soup Sampler on Nov. 2, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Proceeds from the meal will benefit mission projects supported by the church. Tickets are $5. To purchase tickets, call 549-3364.
Women’s Seminar
Heart Life Women’s Seminar at First Baptist Church “Delighting in ourDécor” will be held Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. Sandy Martin will show that we need not spend a lot of money to decorate for the holidays. Getting Parent Smart seminar
The Getting Parent Smart seminar will help parents find their way through tough issues of raising kids today. The GPS five-week seminar, taught by Kevin and Laura Macfarlan, will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 4, 11, and 18 in Room 233 at First Baptist Church. To sign up, call 524-3106.
Chili supper
Bethel United Methodist Church in West Siloam Springs, Okla., will host a Coup/Chili supper benefit from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 6. The price is $5 per person and is all you can eat. There will be homemade soups, chili, crackers, cornbread, cake and drinks. Proceeds will go to benefit Hunger and Thirst of Siloam Springs and St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, Montana. Thanksgiving volunteers needed
Volunteers are needed for the annual community Thanksgiving meal hosted by First United Methodist Church in Siloam Springs.
People are needed to help prepare, serve and deliver meals on Thanksgiving.
For those who cannot help physically but still want to participate, monetary donations are always accepted to help purchase items for the meals.
Shoe Box Project
Donations are needed for the Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Project. A Community Shoe Box Party will be held on Nov. 14, at Siloam Springs First United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants will play games to win items to pack in a shoe box. Sager Creek Community Church is the local dropoff center.
Items needed are toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, hair brushes, washcloths, bars of soap, crayons, markers, coloring books, picture books, dolls, sunglasses, yo-yos,Slinkies, noisemakers, small cars/trucks, hard candy and gum, and any other items for school, play or hygiene that are age-appropriate for children from ages 2-14. Items should be nonbreakable and non-perishable. Monetary donations are being accepted as well because it cost $7 per shoe box for overseas shipping. Checks are recommended and should be made payable to Samaritan’s Purse.

Pheasant Hunt
LifeQuest Pheasant Hunt is planned for the weekend of Nov. 20-22. The team will leave mid afternoon Friday and return late Sunday evening. Cost of $375-$400 includes a Kansas hunting license, travel, lodging and guide fee. Call Mark Canant at 549-7208 or sign up at lifequest@fbcsiloam.com.
Divorce Care
First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs offers a Divorce Care seminar for people who are going through divorce or separation. DivorceCare meetson Sundays 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the church parlor. Each session is self contained, making it possible for a person to start attending at any point in the series. Divorce Care is led by Don Wleklinski and features video input from 32 renowned experts on divorce and recovering. In addition, those attending become a support group of individuals who also are experiencing separation and divorce. Child care is provided. TenderCare preschool
TenderCare preschool, a ministry of First Baptist Church, is a developmentally-appropriate, Christbased school, for early childhood learning. TenderCare has classes for children 2 1/2 to 4 years old.

Mothering Matters is a ministry of Siloam Springs Bible Church designed to encourage and equip mothers of young children in the community. Mothering Matters meets the first and thirdFriday of each month throughout the school year from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Childcare will be provided for preschool kids, but mothers of all stages are welcome. Main meetings on first Fridays feature a speaker and group discussion.
A Care Group Bible study and one free hour of childcare for moms will be offered each third Friday of the month. SSBC is located at 2307 Hwy. 412 West on the state line. For more information, call 238-3784.
Community Choir
JOY Choir is a fellowship of senior adults who gather to sing, laugh, enjoy friends, and serve Jesus in ministry with others. Senior Adults from across the community are invited to join. Last year they sang concerts at the Siloam Senior Citizen Center, Siloam Springs Nursing & Rehab, Quail Ridge Living Center, and FBC’s Young at Heart ministry.
In addition to concerts, they take occasional oneday trips together. JOY Choir meets on Thursdays from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Siloam Springs.
